Responsibilities of the Mig Production Welder

  • Set up workstation with appropriate weld jig and check fixture according to the check sheet.
  • Set the MIG welding system according to the Welding Procedure Specification.
  • Manually weld using the MIG welding processes to manufacture components, consistently maintaining appropriate production levels.
  • Read, understand, and complete all production paperwork.
  • Perform production support activities.
  • Follow setup instructions when setting up welders and follow general operator instructions when operating machines.
  • Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on welding equipment to assure good and safe working condition

Requirements of the Mig Production Welder

  • HS diploma or GED,
  • At least 1 year mig welding experience (school experience will be considered)
  • Must have their own welding hood and basic PPE.
  • Must have their own form of transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen prior to starting work.
  • Able to work off blue prints and other diagrams
  • Able able to set up welder to weld on CARBON STEEL
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced production environment
  • Drug Test, Background Check (no felonies last 7 years)
