Benchmarkinc is the top recruiting company in the restaurant industry and we are looking for a Sous Chefs for one of our clients. They are a thriving restaurant company and need dynamic, polished, and service-oriented Sous Chefs to work directly with the Executive Chef and General Manager, to create incredible meals and an unforgettable customer experience.

Responsibilities

Train new and existing kitchen staff on the preparation, arrangement and display of meals
Ensure all staff members adhere to culinary standards and regulations
Respond to customer inquiries and concerns personally
Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
Produce high quality meals both design and taste wise
Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
Maintain all kitchen equipment
Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements

2+ years' culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or resort property
Four-year degree or culinary school diploma a plus
Knowledge of best practices for training kitchen staff and implementing kitchen procedures
High level of creativity and reliability
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
Familiar with industry's best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
Must have no felony convictions or crimes against others over the past 7 years
